MICHELLE OUELLET (she/her) is a Canadian Screen and DGC nominated, Leo Award–winning director and one of Playback Magazine’s 10 to Watch, whose work has screened at festivals around the world.
An alumnus of the Whistler Film Festival Doc Lab, Michelle was shortlisted for the Sundance Film Festival’s Episodic Makers Lab for her short-form script BITRICH. Her original pilot ETHICS 101 (co-created with Nicholas Carella) was a National Screen Institute Totally Television finalist and was subsequently optioned for development.
Michelle balances developing her own material with a steady directing career across scripted film, television and short-form. Her work is recognized for strong performances, tonal precision, and emotionally grounded storytelling, often within elevated genres.
